Llynoedd Barlwyd Lakes

To the Northwest of the town and East of the A470 to Betws y Coed. They are accessible on foot by a 30 minutes' walk from the lay-by at the top of the Crimea Pass. The larger lake was emptied in 2003 for repairs to the dam and will take some time to recover but the very productive smaller lake is well worth a visit.
